Trevor got a new-n-pretty outfit for Sypha, and it only cost his literal blood, sweat, and tears. I did make a few creative liberties on this iteration of Sypha's design since I want to keep her very snug-looking, so I made a lot of the parts to her dress longer and poofed up the sleeves just so they match her descendants. :D

Vendetta and Corey! Besties 5ever!!! Made as a sequel to the adorable craft night drawing by @sunsetno4!!!! Hair dye and painting each others nails and more good tunes! Plus Corey returning to their Sidestep era love of neon colors and DIY clothes (surely the Heartbreak crop top won't draw any unwanted attention) It was so much fun getting to draw Vendetta! Corey is every bit as enamored with nem as I am <3

Are you named after anyone?

Bhavan: I…think? I was named after my Appa’s Thata? Or some other relative? But your guess is as good as mine, honestly.

Jyothika: No. I mean, I do share my name with a Queen—

Bhavan: Really?

Jyothika: Yes. The first Rani born, after our people moved above ground, her name was Jyothika. But, no, I wasn’t named after anyone.

When was the last time you cried?

Bhavan: oh shit, give me a moment…I’ve cried a lot…hmm, recently? It was during our anniversary last month. Jyothi gave me a necklace, that she made in honour of my sister.

(Turns to Jyothika) thank you again, my love.

Jyothika: You’re welcome, Bhavi. I’m glad you like the gift. As for me…well it’s hard to say, I rarely cry.

Bhavan: Baby, what about yesterday with the girls?

Jyothika, aside to Bhavan: They don’t need to know that.

Do you have kids?

Bhavan, rocking his daughter back and forth: No. this is actually the neighbour’s kid and we just borrowed her for the interview—

(Jyothika gently smacks Bhavan’s arm)

Bhavan: I’m just pulling your tail. We actually have three daughters. Our other two are with their Uncle.

Jyothika: Our little one was supposed to be with Halsin today too, but she’s in a fussy stage right now.

Bhavan, in a proud tone: She’s a daddy’s girl.

Jyothika, sighing: only during the day. Then at night she only wants me.

Do you use sarcasm a lot?

Bhavan: Depends on the day, honestly. And what mood my wife’s in.

Jyothika: I use it. But I’m not really a fan of sarcasm.

What's the first thing you notice about people?

Bhavan: Eyes. Definitely eyes. You can tell a lot about someone by their eyes.

(Turns lovingly to Jyothika) That was one of the reasons I fell for you, you know.

Jyothika: And here I thought it was because I was a…what was the term you used? A survivor?

Bhavan: That too.

Jyothika laughing: you’re a dork.

Bhavan: and you love me!

Jyothika, smiling: I love you (turns back to the interviewer) sorry, for me, I always notice someone’s smile first. I will always admire a beautiful smile.

Bhavan: Baby, is my smile beautiful?

Jyothika: Of course (smooches Bhavan) Why do you think I married you?

Bhavan: Because I’m cute and my ass is fat?

Jyothika, snorts: That too

Scary stories or happy endings?

Bhavan, seriously: Happy endings.

Jyothika, more quiet: Happy endings.

Bhavan, adjusts his hold on their daughter and holds Jyothika’s hand. Squeezes it: We’ve been through a lot. Too much. Every moment of joy and peace is like a gift to us now.

Any special talents?

Bhavan, excitedly: I can turn into a wolf!

Jyothika: he’s a Druid

Bhavan: Yeah! Which is why I can turn into a wolf!

Jyothika: He can also sing, use sorcery—

Bhavan, blushing: that’s not as fun as being a wolf—

Jyothika: —and is amazing at knitting and crocheting.

Bhavan, shyly: Our girls always need new clothes during the winter.

Jyothika: Like I said, he’s amazingly talented.

Bhavan: Well! My Little Wolf is even more talented than me!

Jyothika, also blushing: Bhavi—

Bhavan: She can sing beautifully! And she puts all the dancers I know to shame! She’s also an amazing cleric—

Jyothika: okay that’s not true. And also I’m not a cleric anymore—

Bhavan: Her skills with an axe? Incredible. And she’s the most amazing cook in the entire world! (Pats his stomach fondly) I’ve never eaten better.

Jyothika: it’s important that everyone eats well. And feels good after.

Bhavan: Most amazing cook. Ever! I don’t like sweets, at all, but damn, her Gulab jamuns? To die for!

Where were you born?

Bhavan: The same area where Jyothika grew up? It was near her village, that much I know.

Jyothika: Yes, I’m pretty sure that Bhavan’s parents found him near my village. From what he’s told me, they passed through it quite often.

Bhavan: Yeah, we did. Your village had that giant temple and statue of Selune. And I remember seeing it a lot.

Jyothika: It did have it. So, yes, Bhavan probably grew up in the area. But, yes, I grew up in a village dedicated to Selune. I can’t actually give you more than that, though. For personal reasons.

Bhavan, suddenly looks threateningly at the interviewer. When the interviewer doesn’t push for answers, he relaxes and goes back to rocking their daughter to sleep.

Do you have any pets?

Jyothika: we have two wolves and an owl bear.

Bhavan: their names are Fang, Winter, and Rufus!

Jyothika: I was outvoted on the names.

Bhavan: We also used to have a dog.

Jyothika: Scratch. His name is Scratch. He lives with Shadowheart and her parents now.

What sort of sports do you play?

Jyothika exchanges a look with Bhavan: We’re not really a sports family, I’m afraid. We do run and swim.

Bhavan: And I used to play soccer as a cub. So, I’ve tried teaching the girls. From what I can remember, of course. But they’re not really interested.

How tall are you?

Bhavan: oh, shit, good question. Baby, how tall is Halsin?

Jyothika: I believe he’s 6’7.

Bhavan: oh sweet. Yeah, Halsin and I are the same height. So, 6’7.

Jyothika: I’m 5’6.

Bhavan, fondly: My Little Wolf.

Jyothika: A respectably average height for a woman and elf.

Bhavan: You’re so tiny, why are you so tiny.

Jyothika, rolls eyes: Whatever, Big Wolf.

What was your favourite academic subject?

Jyothika: Religion and history. I also studied healing spells and magic too, but that wasn’t as fun. Actually, I excelled more in combat, much to my Appa’s delight and Amma’s horror.

Bhavan, embarrassed: I, uh…never went to school.

Jyothika holds his hand and squeezes it comfortingly: but you did learn how to read and write. And you know so much about being a Druid. Oh, and now you like learning about religion and myths.

Bhavan, still a little embarrassed: Yeah, I do. There’s just something fascinating about it. I’m not fond of the gods but like, damn, there sure are a lot of them? And they sure do fuck with a lot of people? It’s just good to know.

Jyothika nods: it really is.

What is your dream job?

Bhavan, his voice softer cause their daughter fell asleep: I mean, does being a husband and father count? Cause, I feel like I’m already living my dream? But, uh, a teacher. I’d love to teach other Druids? Halsin and I were talking the other day, and we’re both Moon Druids but we weren’t taught the same? So, I think it would be good to pass my knowledge on.

Jyothika: you also like kids, and you’re very patient. So, it would be a good fit.

Bhavan nods: yeah, it would. But that’s something to consider when the girls are older.

Jyothika: I never really thought about it. I was raised for one thing and one thing only. I excelled at it. And now I don’t. And then, after, I’ve only really thought about making a home for myself.

(She grabs Bhavan’s hand again and looks at him lovingly): And I’ve definitely done that.

Bhavan, softly: I love you.

Jyothika smiles: I love you too. (Turns back to the interviewer) I do love cooking. So, maybe I could be a chef or cook? But that might require being in a city and well…

Bhavan: we don’t do cities. We’re a family that travels.

Jyothika: we’re nomadic. We’re just staying with Halsin until our youngest is walking and talking. And then we’ll set off again.

Bhavan, firmly: My Little Wolf also needs to recover, still. The birth of our youngest was difficult for her.

Jyothika: Bhavi, it’s been six months, I’m fine—

Bhavan: it was very difficult. And we’re not leaving until you’re fully healed. If it hadn’t been for Halsin…

Jyothika, holds his hand comfortingly: But that’s why Halsin was around. And now I’m healing.

Bhavan, angling his body so he doesn’t squish the baby, kisses Jyothika on the forehead: I’m glad. But please, Little Wolf, you must rest.

Jyothika, sighing: I will, my love.
